Microsoft's Windows 11 Dark Mode is finally getting some much-needed attention! But is it too little, too late?

Microsoft is officially rolling out improvements to the dark mode in Windows 11's File Explorer, addressing a long-standing inconsistency. When performing actions like copying, moving, or deleting files, the dark mode theme will now be applied more uniformly.
Here's the interesting part: Despite introducing dark mode in Windows 10 back in 2016, it's taken Microsoft nearly a decade to enhance its consistency. Previously, actions like copying large files would result in a light mode dialog, even with dark mode enabled. Microsoft is also working on extending this consistency to progress bars, charts, confirmation dialogs, and prompts for file operations.
However, there's still work to be done. The Run prompt, file properties, Control Panel, and Folder Options in File Explorer remain areas where dark mode could use some love. And this is where it gets controversial—with such a long wait for these improvements, one can't help but wonder: Is Microsoft's commitment to user experience as bright as it should be?
